INTRO to MEDITATION
TECHNIQUES of SHINZEN YOUNG








Stephanie Nash will be leading a 3 week “home retreat” - that will lead into a weekend
of Shinzen’s “Basic Mindfulness Home Retreats” later this month.

Dial-Up a nice 2 hour support for 3 Sundays in a row
– from the comfort of your home.

If you haven’t done these before, it’s pretty cool and actually much more effective
than you can imagine. You just make sure you’ve got a quiet place at home
where you won’t be disturbed. A meditation cushiion or just a chair is great.  
You put on headphones or an earpiece – and dial into a conference call number
(which you are given after registration.)
Then you sit with your eyes closed
and the class – and guided meditation – come to you.

There will be periods of Q&A – that you can listen into, ask questions, or just meditate through,
but it will be experiential learning with plenty of guided meditation.

These are on 3 Sundays
Oct. 26, Nov 2 & 9

designed designed so that by the end of the last one
you know two basic techniques well :  

    EASY REST”
    (a nice place to park that tends to quiet the mind & relax the body)
    and
    “FOCUS IN”
    (a way of gaining insight, clarity & equanimity
    with thoughts & feelings.)

    The 4th Sunday is optional – and that’s the intro class with Shinzen
    (which is required to then participate in his monthly home retreat offerings,
    so if you haven’t yet done them, you’ll want to do this one
    as it’s only offered once every 2 months.)


This series is intended as a supportive introduction to the teachings of Shinzen Young
and/or it can function to refresh or deepen your practice
if you are already familiar with Shinzen’s techniques & strategies.

It will also touch on strategies for implementing these techniques
in your life– dealing with issues that arise.

This has been designed as an easy guide into Shinzen’s work



Steph is also available to participants between classes (via email)
for questions that may arise as you begin to utilize this practice in your life.
